BCKIC, in collaboration with StuDIYo Lab, UAE, hosted the inaugural “Tinkershed Crate” session and a two-day workshop at KIIT International School.

Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation (BCKIC), in collaboration with StuDIYo Lab, UAE, proudly hosted the inaugural session of “Tinkershed Crate” at KIIT International School, along with a two-day workshop.

250+ Students from Guru Nanak Public School, Amrita School, DAV Chandreshekarpur, DAV Pokhariput, KIIT International School, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, DAV Kalinga Nagar participated with great enthusiasm — engaging in hands-on design and DIY activities that went far beyond crafting. The sessions sparked a spirit of independence, ownership, passion, and belonging, encouraging students to think, create, and innovate with confidence. Ms. Lina Sadek (Founder), Ms. Bina Bakshi (COO), StuDIYo Lab and their team, including Mr. Hassan Al-Khalili, Ms. Noorhan, Ms. Ayesha, and Mr. Vishnu — not only trained the students but also mentored teachers and trainees, on different wood working machines Jigsaw, Lathe, Drilling, Grinding etc, ensuring the learning experience was rich, interactive, and inspiring. Their active support made this initiative a true success.

This event marks just the beginning of a meaningful collaboration between StuDIYo Lab and BCKIC, one that brings experiential, design-based learning from Dubai to India, starting right here in Odisha.
