CSR & SUSTAINABILITY CONCLAVE 2025 | INAUGURAL SESSION HIGHLIGHTS

The “CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025” began on 21st Nov 2025 with a purpose at the Odisha State Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, and the innovation ecosystem. The conference, themed ‘Driving Inclusive Growth through Technology, Energy & CSR Convergence’, was hosted by Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation, an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Energy, Government of Odisha.

The inaugural plenary was graced by
– Shri K.V. Singh Deo, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha;
– Smt. Pi Lalrinpuii, Hon’ble Minister, H&FW, Mizoram;
– Shri Sujeet Kumar, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha);
– Shri Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha &
– Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, IAS, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Odisha.

Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, PhD, Chairman, BCKIC, set the context for the state’s growing emphasis on science-driven development. Dr. Namrata Misra, CEO, BCKIC, delivered the vote of thanks.

In his keynote remarks, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri K.V. Singh Deo highlighted Odisha’s remarkable transformation—its national leadership in disaster resilience, its forward-looking approach to technology deployment, and the need for multi-year impact partnerships between government, corporates, academia, and civil society. Reaffirming the vision of “Viksit Odisha 2036”, he urged all stakeholders to work collectively towards building a future-ready and sustainable Odisha as the state approaches 100 years of its Foundation Day.
