Under the visionary leadership of Atal Innovation Mission Official (AIM), NITI Aayog, Mega Tinkering Day 2025 became a nationwide celebration of curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving—engaging over 10,000 schools, 1.1 crore students, and 722 districts in a synchronized mission to ignite young minds.
As a Sarthi Centre of AIM, the Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) Foundation—an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India—brought this initiative to Odisha’s aspirational districts. From the hills of Koraput & Kalahandi to Sundargarh, Talcher, Sambalpur & Bolangir, and urban & peri-urban hubs of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack, BCKIC reached 21 schools across Odisha as part of AIM & NITI Aayog’s Mega Tinkering Day. Over 3,000 students turned curiosity into prototypes—proving that innovation knows no boundaries on the path to a Viksit & Atmanirbhar Bharat
Science knows no boundaries. Creativity and innovation do not require high-end laboratories or glossy infrastructure—only the spark of curiosity, the right mentorship, and the determination to contribute to a Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Across classrooms, students designed working prototypes, tackled real-world challenges, and began thinking like scientists and engineers. Guided by dedicated teachers, they turned limited resources into impactful solutions—proving that the next big idea can emerge from anywhere, whether a rural school in Kalahandi or a metropolitan campus in Bhubaneswar.
Through Mega Tinkering Day, BCKIC reaffirmed a powerful truth: opportunity is the ultimate accelerator of innovation. When access meets aspiration, young minds can create technologies that solve local challenges while inspiring global impact.
