Bloomberg Cities Idea Exchange Learning Tour, Rourkela

BCKIC was honoured to be invited to the Bloomberg Cities Idea Exchange Learning Tour, organised in Rourkela, Odisha — celebrating the city’s award-winning cold room initiative, a winner of the 2021 Bloomberg Philanthropies Global Mayors Challenge.

The programme provided an oppurtunity to understand how a local government innovation can combine infrastructure, clean energy, women’s entrepreneurship, community participation and market access.

As part of the programme, Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation showcased handicraft products from the Chilika “Waste to Value” initiative, supported by Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd. at the e-Cool Bazaar, promoting SHG-led, sustainable livelihood products from chilika to visiting city and state delegations from across the country.
