Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is an inevitable tool for growth and sustainable development. IPR protection plays a key role in gaining a competitive advantage regarding technological gains for achieving higher economic growth in a knowledge-driven economy. In today’s globally competitive environment, intellectual property has placed itself on a pedestal in the context of economic growth and is becoming increasingly important.
Fostering innovation is one of the sustainable development goals set by the Government of India. “An India where Intellectual Property stimulates creativity and innovation for the benefit of all” is the vision of our National IPR Policy.
BCKIC Foundation is working in a mission mode to sensitize and facilitate IPR in the state of Odisha and the regions of North Eastern Part of India.
Objectives
❖ To create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights, in the State of Odisha and the Northeastern states of India.
❖ To assist in creating/developing a Strong IP ecosystem thereby, transforming the states into an attractive investment destination for the industries.
❖ To identify protectable intellectual properties from the grassroots innovators/ institutes/ universities/organizations/ communities and individuals in the state of Odisha and the Northeastern states of India.
❖ To increase IPR filing and thus build a robust IPR ecosystem
