BCKIC was invited to participate in a brainstorming session on Marine Biotechnology in Odisha, organized by the Science and Technology Department, Govt of Odisha, on Marine Biotechnology in Odisha, bringing together over 25 institutions from the state. The session aimed to explore the strengths, opportunities, and possibilities in the sector.
It was attended by key officials including Smt Anu Garg, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary, and Smt Chithra Arumugam, Principal Secretary of the Science and Technology Department.
The agenda of the session was to develop a blueprint for the Blue Economy of the state, emphasizing the potential of Marine Biotechnology. The session also highlighted the importance of academia and innovation in shaping Odisha’s future in Marine Biotechnology.
